Helena Segarra

Helena Segarra

Partner institution: Universitat Wien

Helena Segarra studied Arabic and Islamic Studies and Philosophy at the University of Vienna and INALCO (Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales) in Paris. She did her Master Degree in Sociologie with research focus on Politics and Gender in the Middle East at EHESS (École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales) in Paris.

In 2017 she obtained the Unidocs Fellowship at the Institut for Political Science at the University of Vienna for her dissertation project with the working title: “Living” in refugee camps: The (exceptional) life of minimum standards in Italy, France and Hungary.
