BordEUr: New European Borderlands book presentation and closing event
Thursday, September 22, 2022, 1:30 pm – 5:00 pm
This event marks the culmination of the BordEUr: New European Borderlands project. BordEUr is a collaborative research project of nine European universities. The project documents and assesses the proliferation of new borders in the aftermath of the European Union’s (EU) recent crises (the Eurozone crisis, the so-called migration crisis, and the COVID-19 pandemic), which in various ways, were crises of those very borders.
The event will showcase the outcome of the research project and edited online publication entitled „Fences, Refugee Boats, and the New Borderlands: Making Sense of the European Union’s Emerging Internal and External Borders”. The editors are Andras Szalai, Owen Parker, Sonia Lucarelli, and Alexandra Prodromidou.
